DIMENSIONAL BEAD EMBROIDERY: A Reference Guide to Techniques by Jamie Cloud Eakin

In this absolutely brilliant 160 page hard cover book you will find yourself exploring common bead embroidery stitches and adding some new ones according to Jamie Cloud Eakin. And I quote, " I think my favorite thing about bead embroidery is not only the capacity for variety but also the simplicity. Even if you can barely sew on a button, you can do this. So get ready, get set, and go forth and create." Jamie Cloud Eakin ABOUT THE AUTHOR: She has been a professional bead artist for almost two decades , and she teaches and sells her work in galleries across North America. Other books to her credit are : BEADING WITH CABOCHONS AND BUGLE BEAD BONANZA. In Chapters 1-8 (pages 8-99) you will cover Materials and tools, Basic Techniques, Getting started and Designing, Using Components, Surface stitches, Bezel Stitches, Edge Treatment Stitches, and Attachment Stitches. In Chapter 9 (pages 89-141) LET THE PROJECTS BEGIN. When reading over project information you will see a list of: WHAT YOU NEED , STITCHES USED, AND WHAT TO DO step by step instructions with figures. I myself found these lists and instructions easily understood and a breeze to follow. Jamie Cloud Eakin has outdone herself in this publication. It is stunning, brilliant and amazing . I personally am very proud to have it in my craft Library.
